Specific Entry Requirements
In GCSE English Language and Maths, a minimum of a grade 3 in one and a grade 2 in the other plus some GCSEs at grades 3 or 4

Course Introduction
This course provides an opportunity to study a range of topics from three main areas: childcare and education, babysitting and parenting responsibilities. It serves as a great introduction to the level 3 T level in Education & Early Years or level 3 Health and Social Care pathways. It provides an excellent grounding in both essential knowledge & practical experience for those wishing to move into employment within the sector or for further study beyond our level 3 programmes.
Course Modules
It contains units in:
- Preparation for the responsibilities of parenting
- Learning, child development and the importance of play
- Babysitting; safeguarding & legislation
Assessment
You will be assessed by your tutor using a range of methods. This could include practical tasks, course work or group presentations. There are no exams.
