What to Expect
S6F Preview is your chance to experience life at Scarborough Sixth Form College before you join us. Spend the day exploring your chosen subjects, meeting staff and other applicants, and getting a feel for what it’s really like to be part of the S6F community.
For 2027: Tuesday 22nd June, 9am–4pm
✅ If you’ve applied, you’re automatically invited – no extra sign‑up needed!
Not applied yet?
If you haven’t applied to college but still want to come to the taster day and try out some courses, you just need to complete an online application.
What will the day be like?
- Warm Welcome - When you arrive, our welcome team will be there to greet you, provide a map, and help you find your first class.
- How the Day Starts - You’ll begin with a short intro session to welcome you to college and explain how the day will work. Then it’s off to your chosen subject sessions!
- Your Personalised Timetable- We’ll create a personalised timetable just for you, which will be available to view on the Applicant Portal a few days before the event. You’ll have the opportunity to try five subjects that you selected during your interview.
- Extended Lunchtime - Enjoy a longer lunch break with games, music, giveaways and activities while you explore the college, meet staff and chat with other applicants. See below for more information.
- The College to Yourselves - The day is exclusively for applicants, giving you the chance to experience college life, find your way around, and feel at home in your new surroundings before September.
